Respect  - Courage - Co-operation         Where children come first!

A warm welcome from the Headteacher - Doug Campbell

On behalf of the children, staff and Governing Board, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our school. I take great pride in leading the school and supporting your child in their educational journey.

The school will work in partnership with you, to equip all our children with the core values, knowledge and skills that they need to become successful, lifelong learners. We have strong links with our local nurseries and junior schools, ensuring that there is a seamless transition both into Reception and on to Key Stage 2.

Our core values of respect, courage and co-operation underpin everything that we do to ensure that Greenleys First School truly is a place ‘where children come first!’. We highly value, respect and work tirelessly with pupils to help them understand how to earn respect, as well as how to show respect to others. We work hard to develop the resilience and determination of our pupils, so that they have the courage to tackle challenges in life and the confidence to know that they can really achieve. A real focus, throughout our infant school education, is on developing our pupil’s co-operative skills, as we believe that the ability to work and play harmoniously starts from a very young age.

Our curriculum, new in 2022, is exciting, challenging and designed to meet the needs of our local community.  Learning is carefully planned and sequenced to ensure that your child develops the skills and knowledge needed to thrive, within a broad and balanced curriculum.

Greenleys First School is a warm and friendly place, full of laughter, learning and love. We have made a nurturing environment, where we know every child personally, which makes for a real family atmosphere and a wonderful place to learn and work.

We hope that our website gives you a flavour of our fantastic school and we look forward to meeting you in person.
