PE and Sport Premium

The PE and Sport Premium is government funding provided to primary schools to help children lead active, healthy lives. It supports schools in improving the quality of PE and sport so pupils benefit from regular physical activity—boosting physical and mental health, behaviour, and academic achievement.

At Greenleys First School, Where Children Come First, we believe that PE and sport are vital to every child’s development. We use the funding to offer high-quality physical education and a wide range of sporting opportunities, helping children build healthy habits and develop our core values of Co-operation, Courage, and Respect.

The funding is used to:

• Increase staff confidence and skills in teaching PE
• Engage all pupils in regular physical activity
• Raise the profile of PE across the school
• Offer a broader range of sports and activities
• Increase participation in competitive sport 

We aim to make improvements that are sustainable, ensuring future pupils benefit from enhanced PE provision.
