World Book Day

We are delighted with the success of World Book Day.  It was wonderful to see the children all dressed up as a book character.

Congratulations to all the winners of the best dressed characters, best bookmarks and the children who read at home regularly.

A big thank you to all the parents who came in and read with their own child and other children in the hall throughout the day.

A special mention to our visitors Neil and Kate McAllister, David Hearnshaw, Gemma Taylor, Dave, Mandy and Badger and Jordan Spence who came in and read with the children.

A fantastic day, enjoyed by all!

Some quotes from parents:

Lovely set up, warm and welcoming.  Kids enjoyed it, staff looked fab.

Everything went well, all the children behaved and looked lovely.  Well done and the staff looked good too.

I really enjoyed coming in to read with my child and thought the hall was great.

The atmosphere from all children, staff and parents was amazing.

Was great that the kids had a chance for their parents to come in.  The lighting made is so cosy.

Well organised.  Dressing up was good.  Very calming atmosphere and interaction between parents, children and teachers.
